
Sunrun's New VP of Electrification and Grid Services

We are pleased to introduce Lidija Sekaric, our new Vice President of Electrification and Grid Services.
Lidija oversees Sunrun’s strategy to further electrify homes by evaluating and selecting new hardware and software products for inclusion in our consumer offers and grid services programs. Lidija’s focus will be on the development and implementation of new product solutions related to our battery offering, electric vehicles, and other electrification technology. She will also lead the effort to operationalize our many recent grid services wins while partnering with the business development team to land more grid services contracts.
Lidija is a renewable energy veteran with over 18 years of leadership experience in research and renewable energy programs. She holds 30 U.S. patents and has more than 40 scientific peer-reviewed publications.
Prior to joining Sunrun, Lidija served as National Market Director, Distributed Energy Systems, at Siemens Smart Infrastructure, an industry leader in intelligent grid control and electrification. Before Siemens, Lidija served as Senior Advisor to the Deputy Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and was responsible for managing a portfolio across multiple power generation sources for integrated grid approaches, demand-side tools, and storage. She spent eight years working at the DOE and deployed more than $1 billion in research and development investment through the SunShot Initiative.
Lidija has a solid track record of driving results in grid services and electrification by helping find innovative ways to serve customers and achieve operational excellence. Lidija will be a critical asset in our continued growth as a company.
